Oh ok on Patient Zero. I want to try ot soon too. I am reading Summer of Night by Dan Simmons. So far its pretty good. seems like it will be creepy..... I put KIng down (Black House) toooo slow for me... I will go back to the Shining and Salems Lot after I finish some of these others. I need the books to pick up when I start them. I also bought the Passage. What did u think of this one?? I think u told me awile ago???
No power here, so I got some reading done over the weekend. The Day of the Triffids, was fun and very good, but not very scary. I think it was very original(it was written in 1951) and it holds up pretty well. I think I'm going to pass on the movie though, because I really think it would not translate that well to film.
I also read Material Witness and found that to be great fun. It was the first Joe Ledger book I've read, so I am going to start on the rest of them soon.
Right now, I am reading The Penal Colony which is an older book about a prison island, ...it's ok. I am also reading an old scary sci fi book The Day of the Triffids. It was listed as 1 of the top 100 scary books on Goodreads. I just started it, though, so it's too soon to tell. What are you reading?
Hi Sandra I see that u read the patient zero series by maberry wht do u think of these for the gore factor? R they gorey gruesome and scary? U kno I love that. Looking to read a good scary gorey book. I also c that u have read salems lot, the shining, and black house . Which do u think is the best for gore out of the ones I mentioned including patient zero. Wht r u reading now?
Sandra, I don't know if you go to Goodreads or not, but Jonathan Maberry is going to host some kind of zombie chat later this month. It sort of looks like fun!
Sandra, I finally started Ghost Road Blues and I LOVE it! I did not realize that blues music was a part of it and I also LOVE the blues...I've written down some of the songs/musicians hoping that I will be able to track down the ones I have not heard of.
Thank you so much for the recommendation! (I was approx. 15% in and bought the other two books as well!!) Thanks again!
Hi, If you are talking about Charollet Fig or Raven stole the moon Choose Raven really good, I see we like to read the same type of books Have you read Just after Sunset? What is your opinion Are you a writer? I tried to down load darkboys book and can get it to come up in english
I have a kindle Nice picture by the way] You do not look like you are even close to forty.
Just finished 'The Plot Against America' by Philip Roth, now I'm reading 'The Simple Truth' by David Baldacci. I finished 'The Black Echo' not to long ago - Harry Bosch/Michael Connolly are rapidly becoming my favorites. If like the Harry Bosch type of stories, try works by T. Jefferson Parker - good reading!
