Anthem is the story of a young man living in an era where the word "I" doesnt exist (the story is set way ahead in future). He grows up without knowing the importance of individualism, the uniqueness, the word "I" inculcates in itself. Its the journey of him discovering the "ego" in him and doing away with the notion of "we". Its a small story, do read it cuz Ayn Rand is the best person who can make one understand what the moral of her story is. Its a worth read.
Take care, Shruti
Hi Dear Sandhya,
I am a member of Shelfari , and i got you from the http://www.shelfari.com/
So if you like , i will be very glad indeed if you accept my request. Because my course studying is Sociology and i like to have relation with other people.
Dear Sandhya ( assuming that this is your name ) :))
Thanks for the note.
I read your intro - really touching.
Especially the last line.
"The life we live is the choice we make" - excellent.
Initially when I saw - your qualification as B.Ed - I assumed you to be a teacher. Or may be aspiring to teach later --- so on...
I teach "Management" in nearly 14 colleges as a guest speaker.
Teaching is my passion - but the more than the need for money - it is the greed for money which is making me to continue with my job.
Wishing you all the very best
