Sandee....I've got a few credits on Paperback Swap I want to use and am looking at my friend's shelves for ideas. What are a few of your favorite books fromur shelf?

Hi, Sandee: If you've never read a Stephen Bly book before, I would suggest starting with one of the newest ones--either One Step Over The Border or one of the Horse Dreams Series. Book #1 is entitled Memories of a Dirt Road Town. My books are devotional nonfiction mainly with titles like Awakening Your Sense of Wonder and Hope Lives Here. Hubby and I have co-authored some cozy mysteries together--The Hidden West Series (first book titled Fox Island) and The Carson City Chronicles (first book titles Judith & The Judge). Hope you can find some of these at you local library. They're also available on Amazon.com and through our website www.blybooks.com
    Blessings,
    Janet

was wondering about Stephen Bly. I notice you have a gazillion of his books on your shelf, so I asume you really like them. What type of books are they?

Sandee: Steve writes award-winning classic and contemporary western type fiction. He's also done some cozy mysteries. I've read every book he ever wrote (100 at last count)--I've also been his main editor. You see, he's my husband! :)

Thanks for the comment on my picture. :) Ferdi took that for me last summer in Salem. I always take the kids on nerdy field trips when we're in MA for the summer -- I try to remember which field trips I went on in which years, and 4th grade was Salem! The pic I had up before this one was me at Emerson's grave.

Hi, Sandee--thanks for the note. You asked about my favorites--of course, any in my Top Ten shelf. Especially Mitch Albom and The Kite Runner (great book, but I'm not going to see the movie as I know it will be too graphic for me), but I've also enjoyed getting acquainted recently with Anne Perry's Victorian mysteries--quite complex and full of deep character development. I noticed you have a number of Debbie Macomber's novels on your shelf--I know I'd enjoy her books too, but haven't had the privilege as yet. A lot of the other authors you list that I don't have on my shelf I have enjoyed in the past too. Blessings, Janet

I finished Voyager, I'm curious about the Dear John book too, maybe that'll be another one to put on my winter reading list.

Just finished Dragonfly in Amber Sandee and I loved it. Can't wait to read Voyager, there was a little excerpt at the end of this one and it looks good!

Sandee....How was Dear John? I just got it from Paperback Swap but loaned it to a friend to read first. The last Nicholas Sparks book I read was True Believer which I wasn't all that crazy about. I need another Sparks book to love!....Becky

I, also, like to take pictures as well as reading. Is your avatar the product of your camera? A nice little waterfall.
