I am an author. My debut novel, "A Family of Strangers" is a historical family saga set in Australia in 1790s.

Ever since I learned how to read, I developed a voracious appetite for fiction. I continue to read -- about 3 novels a week. I also try to write as my favourite writers do, hoping I will produce books I will enjoy reading... more »

George Martin is a fine but evil writer. He hooks you and then sends you off on a long long long ride. Just noticed you have the last book too. Ouch. I won't say more.

Don't mind the "request friend" thing. The system wouldn't let me in today until I signed up again. That's OK about Sara Douglass. I'll check out her new books soon. What's your favorite out of the series - just offhand? I haven't checked out your shelf in a bit.

Thanks for adding me as a friend. I just went to Amazon.com and ordered your book. My only disappointment is I couldn't order it for my Kindle. I'm looking forward to reading it but can't say when that will be. I was looking at your shelf and will be back to suggest a few that are popular and I think you would enjoy. Three novels a week!! I'm a slow reader and housework does interfere. My father liked it that I liked to read but I neglected my chores and he wasn't happy about that.
    Back again soon.

    Hello Sanchona,
I have surfed on your blog and I have read again the plot of your book. I get the chills and it made me long for purchase your first sequel of Kate McNeil. Her turmoil and pain has tugged at my mother-soul. What a upheaval life the poor thing! Thanks for your lovely note and for tellling me a bit about your childhood. By the way, my daughter is learning English, of course! and she is looking forward to finding a Chinese teacher in our little village. We have found a Japanese one but Teresa, my daughter wants me to learn Chinese in order to travel to China in a few years (she is 11 years old right now). She is an Asian culture-freak and fortunately, this school year she has befriend of a little boy from Beijing. He may can teach her his language now.
Well, I will visit again your website and your blog soon and I am surfing in your nice book shelf. Your spanish friend, Elisabeth

    Hola/Hello Sanchona,
Thanks for accepting my friendship! I have read most of my books in Spanish and in French but I am really enjoying re-reading some books in the mother tongue of the author, for instance, "Animal Farm", "The Portrait of Dorian Gray" and "Memoirs of a Geisha". Glad you add me in your friends' list!
Hope we can share some comments on impressing and delightful books. I am looking forward to finding your Ozzie boook by Amazone. In my bookstores and libraries in Barcelona I could not, pitty!
    Hugs y "besos"(kisses), Elisabeth
