    If you are looking for an agent, there are lots of ways to go about it. You could get a copy of the latest "Writer's Market" book and spend a few hours looking through hundreds of listings for agents and editors, or you could look through the acknowledgments of a few of your favorite books and submit to an agent or editor that has worked with authors you admire in your genre. I found my agent that way. There are a lot of good how-to books out there. A few others I found helpful were "The First Five Pages" by Noah Lukeman and "Give'Em What They Want" by Camenson & Cook. Good luck with your writing!
