i've been forced to buy some books because the fargo library didn't have them. the second sex, manufacturing consent, doors of perception....surely no one would ever want to read those when they could read The...more »

Hey there! Nice to meet you :) It seems we both have lots of books in common, and some of the books I plan on reading are already on your shelf.... What's the one that impressed you the most?

I like your shelf, I found you through "The Real Frank Zappa Book". I agree with your assessment of Klosterman's Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs (Billy Joel? For REAL?) I like you good.

I like the way you summed up Female Chauvinist Pigs. File me under "confused as hell".

Truthiness I suppose, along the lines of Chomsky and Zinn. Basically the known, but only if you look, perspectives that no one is taught unless maybe they become history majors.

Love your shelf! I noticed you've got "No One Here Gets Out Alive". I read that book a little while ago, but had the hardest time locating a copy. Much like the Fargo Library, none of the Winnipeg Libraries had it in their system. I thought you might appreciate that. Have fun!

I notice the "People's History" on your shelf and am looking for more like it and was hoping that you could possibly give me some good suggestions (bad suggestions will of course be ignored). ;)

You must stand out in Fargo like a shining beacon of smartitude. People in pickups must stick their heads out and shout, "There he is!" when you stroll. I'd venture you're the only Fargoan who's read Kerouac in French AND Rchard Dawkins. Stay warm up there, you may be needed.
