Hello :)

I am a 20yrs married Mom homeschooling two great young people.. I have written a few poems, many essays, and the odd book -but only a few articles have been publicly published. I have been a bibliophile since I was knee high to a hickory stump. Books have always been a big part of my life, though my love of adventure games has... more »

Lord take this cup away from me....
"I can't son, it belongs to you"
But Lord this cup is too much for me to bear!
"You can handle it, Jesus drank from the cup"
    But Lord I aint Jesus!
    "But He lives in YOU!"
    But Lord I am weak!
"His strength works best when you’re weak"
But Lord have you seen what's in my cup?
"Yeah I know I put it in there!"
But Lord there is sickness in my cup!
"And I called you to heal"
But Lord there is confusion in my cup!
"And I called you to teach"
But Lord there is pain in my cup!
"And I called you spread my Word"
But Lord why do I have to drink THIS cup?
”Because I want you to act like my Son!”
Last question Lord....Does everyone have to drink this cup?
"Everyone has to taste their reality"

    Thanks for your note, Salar.

STOP ME is dark but it isn't gory. Understand if the subject matter is too heavy though. There's a sample chapter on my website.

    Kind regards,

Hello, Salar. I’m the author of The Sandal Maker, a new novel about the public ministry of Jesus from a unique point of view, a little controversial at times, but you will see him as never before. It’s a story that will take you on a fascinating journey in first century Galilee. Have you ever wondered what is was like to live in those times? What part did women play in his ministry? Was he the first feminist? Were the miracles real? Why did Judas betray the Master? How does the gospel of Jesus compare to the gospel according to Peter and Paul? This is a “must read” for those on a true spiritual quest. You can read reviews at Amazon.com. I’m including a link to copy and paste. Let me know what you think.

It took Jeri 17 years to get a book contract. It makes you wonder about the taste of publishers & agents. She writes an excellent story built on fantastic detail of the period. If you follow my blogs and posts I think you will enjoy dipping into a new author with a unique style. Check out the review for Veil of Lies at The Readers Corner (blogspot) and Serpent in the Thorns at http://nash-black.blogspot.com. That's me in my other life where I write reviews for mysteries I really enjoyed.
Thanks for the note, had not heard from you for a while.

I think you should check out Stieg Larsson's Millenium trilogy. They are quite well-written and gripping.

I see you've read a history of the middle ages. New to mystery fiction is Jeri Westerson who writes mediveal noir with a main character Crispin Guest. Her web site and Crispin's blog are some of the finest on the web and filled with factual information about the period. Will have to go back in the archives to discover an essay "Sir Serloin" where she tells how she researched how it felt to stab someone with a broad sword and then cooked the remains for dinner.

    Thanks for becoming friend.
You have a rich shelf dominated by Rex Stout and Nero Wolf.
Are they still popular in USA because it is long time since they are written.
Wish I could read all books you have there.

I read Advent of Dying last year and added it to my Listamania on Amazon of Mysteries for Stocking Stuffers. I'm working on the second holiday mystery list to be posted in October.
Sister Mary Helen could spin a great mystery.
