In my in-law family the women hide in the bedroom if a friend of the husband comes to visit. Is this something religious, or is it just culture?
In my culture it is very insulting if the woman of the house has to leave in her own house for a unknown man.
hi how are you ? my friend
what are you doing in this days ?!
from tomorrow morning it will start to evening near 6 or 8 pm !
mine is mr.mir hossein musavi !
actualy it is special electipon in iran ! it is not same b4 ! peaple are in 2 groups and against together ! it is a war in this time ! i'am sorry for this happen
Thank you for your sweet words. I would like to stay in contact with you, if you don't mind. I have many questions and my husband goes to the imam for me to ask them, but sometimes he is too shy to ask further. If I'm in Jordan, I can go my self and ask. Here in I wouldn't know where to find an imam.
I don't know your age, but I'm 49; 50 this summer. But if you are 18 or so, I know I can't ask you just anything. :)
yes, I'm from Holland. I'm Dutch. I have a Dutch mom and a Czech father.
It's spring in Holland now. I love that the most. I will miss that very much when I live in Jordan. The flowers are so beautiful. I live in the countryside and the lambs are nearly in my backyard. :)
It is light untill 10 in the evening. I can sit outside and read. I live nearly next to a church and in the evening the bats come out and hunt for insects. Sometimes they fly very low and fly around me. Very cute!
I will miss this too. In Jordan it is dark at 8, even in summer.
But Jordan has other nice things ofcourse. ( like a husband :) )
I read a lot about Islam and I prefere to read biografes about women in the Middle East. I try to understand my husbands world.
I try to understand the Israel-Palestine issue. In Holland, specially my generation, is rased pro Israel. But I married into an Palestine family. It is chocking to read about the history. It is something we don't learn at school.
Wow! I hope I haven't scared you with my talking so much.
I was attracted by your introduction of your profile. There is only one country I know of where women are not allowed to drive.
I'm from Holland and yes, I drive. But.... I'm emigrating to Jordan and believe me: you don't want to drive there. My husband is driving. There are no rules. Survival of the fittest! Sometimes I close my eyes. :)
Neverthelss, I know what you mean. And it is a lack of freedom if you can't drive or don't have a car.
I still wonder why it is not allowed. My husband gave me an explanation told by his friends from SA. It had nothing to do with religion.
Best wishes from Holland!
I'm leaving now
tomorrow I'll tell you much about driving and taxi
that you will love more where you live
at least you have only to waite for it
you do not have to wait for long time and then when it came you have to fight with others for it
but even so it is better than driving
alhamdulillah Allah make it easy for me to find a taxi and most of times I will take it and leave them fighting
that is cause I make my trust on Allah
about your dear orphan friend whose family can not afford having a driver
and the taxi is the worst as you say
why don't you pass by here house to take here on your way to school as you have a driver
you can talk to your family about this
and explain to them here situation
you'll get reward from God for supporting them
because she is orphan and here mother is widow
while for driving as a hobby you wish to realize, you
can spent some of your vacancies with your family in some other foreign country and learn to drive and drive
then you will knew if you want all your life to drive or you will prefer to have a driver.
you have taxi!
and it is the worst!
ofcourse since you do not have the bus
you think taxi is the worst
came here and I'll show you the bus that pepole use who ca not afford to pay a taxi how they look on it like Chickens hanging in the massacre
I use the taxi
and I do not drive even if in my country it is not forbidden
I had never went to get a lessens of driving even if in my house they are always encouraging me to do
and also I work and can afford it
but I fear if I get it to drive
because of many things
you do not have the chance in your country
to knew about driving for a woman!
it is better not to knew
I see you do not like the taxi :))
you do not want to live as an ordinary girl as you pretend to ;)
you want to live as a special Queen
a rebellion or tyrant one
whom people bow down while she is passing on here ROLLS-ROYCE :))))))
it depend on how you see your self you can see it as a Queen with a driver to serve her and a mahram to protect here (early Muslims had servants and they were not their mahrams)
while you can also see your self as a disease
it depend on how you see your self :)
I wish one day to live there and to have a driver I'll see my self as a queen not a disease
oh !! i have seen jarir on sari and prince sultan Rd.
and as i told u i read only when i am traveling (or visit someone), otherwise in my free time, I am watching tv and surfing the internet at the same time.
I liked "7 pounds" alot.
but nowadays i am not watching movies that much. I am watching sports instead. I love to watch Cricket and football.

tell me one thing .. do u work??

the secret was not my favorited book. i have not problem with this book but , i could not find the new things when i read it compeletly !! all thing were ok and realy ! ok i belived this book but b4 rading of this book .
may be this book is wonderfull book for some peaple .
today i accidently deleted about 100 movies i recently downloaded. anyway, my other hard disk contains about 800 movies. So, i read mostly when i travel.
YOu know, books are the best companion when u travel. When ever i visit my friends, families or sort of moving to a new environment, I take books along. And by the time i settle in, i would have already finished many books. When i was on hajj ( i was there for one month with my family), i read 7-8 books ( and most of sidney sheldon) .hahahhhahahaaa
Tell me, which jarir branch u go to? the one of Palestine is near my house that why i dont visit the one on tahlia that often.
well .... regarding the kite runner, and many books which i can forgo for a movie, i go for the later. so i watched KITE Runner rather than reading it.
while sitting in office, i receive alot of email from friends and co-workers, which i forward to my friends. If you are interested, i can add you to the mailing list. send me an email @ firstname.lastname@example.org
Chicken soup seems to be a feminine sort of reading.
have you read the princess trilogy i.e. princess, dauther of arabia and princess sultan circle??
