I've been a television writer/producer for about 25 years. Have been lucky enough to work on some great shows (Murphy Brown, Cybill, Mad About You, Becker, The Drew Carey Show, St. Elsewhere, Hill Street Blues)... and plenty of stinky shows that I won't bring up here.

A couple of years ago I decided to start writing books. I've just... more »

I wood love to have you send me your next book. If u don't mind can I get 2 extras for a couple of my friends. If it is no problem that is. Let me know about ur next pilot when you find out it is going to show. Things could be better around our house but u know how it is u have to get through one mole hill before u move on to something better. Other then that we're good. I've signed both of my kids up on shelfri so now they have their own bookself going even if i still put it on mine. I'll be waiting on your next book talk to u later. Do you still have my address ?

    Dear Russ,
After finally finding some spare time, last night I finished your book that you so kindly sent me. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire book, becoming totally absorbed and losing track of time, reading for hours on end. The characters were hilarious and very loveable, and I particularly liked the references to us Aussies having the same feelings towards beer as the Nuldoids do. I thank you for sending it to me, I enjoyed every minute of it and will definitely reccomend it to all my friends.

My apologies for this absurdly late reply. I probably was talking about the book, The Giver, by Lois Lowry. Holes, and the more recent sequel by Louis Sachar, Small Steps are both great books to share with boys.

I REALLY want to read your book so so bad!! My local library doesn't have it, and that is where I get the majority of the books I read. I live in a very small town of less than 1000 people, in the southwestern Virginia county of Wise. The same county Adriana Trigiana writes about in her "Big Stone Gap" series. Big Stone is about 30 miles away from where I live in St. Paul. So to say we don't have a book store close on hand around these parts of the world. Also every one around here has been hit hard financially. Myself included. But that's a different story and one I would prefer to tell where it is not publically displayed. If you could help me get your book I would so very appreciated it. Like I said before I am just dieing to read it! Just tell me what I need to do.

    Russ-
Just to update you on your book at our library. The book is being checked out constantly, so you must have a winner on your hands! Keep up the good work.

    Ok! :D

Sorry, but... golfing. *Shudder * Oh well, it's just not fun in PE class! Have you done Speed Golf? It's the new sport that's sweeping the nation! ;-)

That would be soooo cool, but I doubt I'll be going anywhere anytime soon. *Sigh* Down which way again?

    :D I hope so! ;-)

Well, I was typing it, but I hadn't written in FOREVER, which I realized was because whenever I went on the computer I got distracted or I didn't feel like writing, (usually, for me, computer= games!) so I decided to start hand writing it.

SUMMER! Yus! Just "chillaxin" at home. What about you?

    Hey, long time, no... type!

I was wondering... if you hand write a book that you want to get published, what do you do?

    Thanks! :-)
