sort of...Children in Room E4: American Education on Trial is about educational history, mostly in NJ, and mostly recent history--like 80s and 90s. great book about Newark city schools trying to integrate their classrooms due to urban flight leaving city centers racially homogeneous. love history, but end up reading more memoir/bio and fiction than anything else!
