OK sure I'll let you know. It's kind of been a slow read for me. There are times I like it and times I don't. I will let you know my final conclusion!

    Hi Rebecca,
Started a reply and it disappeared... if you get this twice, sorry! I was saying that I teach 4th grade in Western NY, between Rochester and Syracuse- on the shore of Lake Ontario. What grade do you teach? My husband and I have 2 cats- one looks similar to the one in your profile pic. How about you? Married? family (including kitties!)?
I'll enjoy looking over your bookshelf! I am currently going through the Beverly Lewis books that take place in Amish country in PA. Love them!! Spending tomorrow with the "Book Whisperer", taking notes of what I need to do to get ready to go with my class! Hopefully within the next two weeks we will be up and running! Keep me posted about how it works/what works/doesn't work.. I'll do the same!
    Happy Saturday!

Thanks for the friend request! I'm glad to see you enjoyed Shanghai Girls. I can't wait to read the sequel (Dreams of Joy) when it comes out later this spring!

    Hi Rebecca,

Thanks for your note. I don't know if you know about the other Richard Parker history. Edgar Allan Poe wrote a story called The Narrative Of Arthur Gordon Pym which concerned a sailor named Richard Parker being eaten by the crew of a drifting wreck. It then happened for real years later and the sailor's name was Richard Parker. Needless to say, I don't travel by boat.

    Kind regards,

    Richard

    Magnificent garden

Instead of looking for reasons to complain, look for ways to be joyful. When you're not sure what to do, take a long, deep breath and smile a delightful, sincere smile.
Put a little beauty in your thoughts and you'll see much beauty in your world. Think again and again of all that you have to be thankful for.

Peacefully accept what is, and transform it into the best of what can be. Remember that nothing ends up being the way it first seems, because it is all influenced by your own perspective and your own actions.

Enjoy the unexpected twists and turns in your life's adventure. Treasure the experience, the learning, the love and the richness of every little thing.

Make life great by appreciating how great it is. Give each day value by making positive, purposeful use of it.

Small, fragile sprouts of beauty, wonder and abundance spring up in every moment. Love them, nurture them and let them grow into a magnificent garden of your very own design.
