    My Unfair Lady

    by Kathryne Kennedy
    • Rated 5 stars

Kathryne Kennedy is a wonderful storyteller. Whether she's writing fantasy or historical, you know you'll find fresh and lively characters, to-die-for heroes and heroines you admire. My Unfair Lady has all of that and more. It's the perfect "escape from the real world" novel.

I'm a huge fan of Mary Balogh. The ending of this one left me a little unsatisfied, but I won't hold it against her and will continue to be a huge fan. Can't wait to read the next in her Huxtable series.

Great book. I'd heard so many good things about this award winner that I was afraid it wouldn't live up to the hype, but I enjoyed the story immensely. I'm not usually a science fiction reader but I couldn't put this one down. Had to immediately get the next two in the series.

I LOVED this book. Jennifer Ashley tells a brilliant story with amazing characters and fabulous emotion. Every character is larger than life and there was not a single sentence that I skimmed. Can't say enough good things about Lord Ian and Beth.

Loved it. Unfortunately I had to read this series out of order (I didn't realize it was a sequel until I was half-way through) but I have to say I didn't have any trouble following the story line even though I was jumping in at book two.

Sinclair writes killer action scenes and her love scenes are very emotional and sensual. I found the story unpredicatble and exciting. Definitely recommend -- although I am going to read book one next, I recommend new readers start with Gabriel's Ghost if they can and read in order. Hope's Folly is the third in this series and I've heard it's as great as the other two..

  • Eve of Darkness

I had the pleasure of receiving an advanced reading copy of EVE OF DARKNESS at the RWA National conference in San Francisco. Wow, what a great start to what I know will be an amazing series. Day has mixed her urban fantasy with biblical references, tight plotting, exciting action, and a hero...or two... you won't soon forget. Eve manages to be a kick-as--and yet human and vulnerabl--heroine. I would highly recommend this book and I can't wait for the next in the series!

I read this book when I was 13 and I've never forgotten it. It's an oldie but goodie.
