Hello! Thanks for the note and the book I was wondering about was The Scarlet Letter. I have bought the book but I haven't started to read it yet but I agree with you wrote about book vs. movie. A movie based on a book can never tell the whole story, so when I see a good movie and find out that it based on a book, well then I want to read the book to really get the whole story. Anyway thanks for writing to me, hopefully I will have time over to start to read The Scarlet Letter soon...

I see you liked Child 44. I picked up an audio version at our Janesville library, and was interested in the story, even though I pretty much saw where it was going about half way through. I was too lazy to look, but did you read City of Thieves? I read that right after Child 44 and thought it was even a better look at Russia in World War II.

honey child, crying is NEVER a sign of weakness!!! i know how you feel though. my family (good naturedly) tease me cause i cry watching just about everything!!! if it's something showing strong emotion.......sadness, happiness, anger, just whatever......i'm bawling. i used to think having a sensative soul was a weakness, but now i know it is one of my strengths. i'm sorry to hear your kitty passed. losing a beloved pet is so hard. i hope you did okay with the in-laws dogs. i certainly hope your husband tries to keep them off of you. i'm physically handicapped too and it's scary to be in a situation where you feel you may need to move your bum quickly and know that you can't. yesterday at my fiance's sister's, when i'd take bizkit outside to do his duty, her big old mutt had territorial issues and i kept having to pull bizkit's lease in like a yoyo to keep him from getting mauled. stupid dog!!! if i was evil, i would have planted my foot right in his backside. other than that it was a very good day. hope yours was too!
