They're all novels I have a particular personal liking of. TSV - for example - had to be cumbersome, its subject matter has a gargantuan weight which is evident in its depth - a person can read it several times and uncover new meanings ... or you could just call it self-indulgent pedantry. I won't press the matter.

A measly two stars for both The Satanic Verses and Wuthering Heights? I'm both dizzy and breathless with bewilderment! ... 'ang on ... three for Gatsby? You are harsh lady ...

Hi! You are correct, I do love classic literature - it's my first love, though not my only. I'm happy to be Shelfari friends with you! Happy reading. :-)

It was okay. It got a little boring in the middle because it seemed like everyday was the exact same thing...I'd say if you don't have anything to read, give it a try.

Hey there. I'm just noticing you left me a note. I'm so terrible at seeing these. Your bookshelf is definitely different but still within the same genres as mine. Any reccommendations?
