“This would have received four stars from me, but it's getting three. He's my favourite writer and I loved the first two sections, but the third felt so hastily pulled together then just left to hang, that I ended up disappointed - a word I don't often use in relation to Paul Auster. Still, it should be read for the first two parts, which are written with the consummate skill I know him for. ”
