Hi Robin. Haven't "talked" to you for ages. How are your publishing adventures coming along? Any chance we'll see a book out by Christmas?
I haven't read either of the books you mention, so there's another project if I can ever stop writing long enough to do anything else in life! Right now I'm all happy because I have two online friends clamoring for more of my 'weird' manuscript, so of course that's spurring me on. Sigh. Like I needed more inspiration. -- Miriam
Sorry about the partial note! This computer has been jumping the gun on me in very strange ways since I upgraded. It's like it has a hair trigger now, while i'm still just plodding along! Miriam
Robin--in all honesty, it's been a number of years since I read him, but I would have been hard put to pick a favorite. I do recall that much. But Robin--In all honesty, it's been a number of years since I read him. I do recall that I would have been hard pressed to pick a favorite. But I thought then and think even more so now that he's a true Renaissance man.--Miriam
You might enjoy Anne Bishop's Black Jewels series. Dark, twisted, and sensual. I found the series totally engrossing.
Piers Anthony--yes!
Celtic Sacrifice is now on Shelfari!!! I'd love for you to add it to your shelf. :)
Thanks for having me as a friend and for your well-wishes for the success of my book.
Robin, call me a shmuck, but I cannot figure out how to ask a question about a book such as getting general recommendations from Shelfari members. Do you know what I mean? I can answer others' recommendation questions alright. But, really, don't call me nasty names. I really am a delicat flower!
I had fun browsing your bookshelf.Read Eddings years ago and had a lot of fun with the Belgariad series. The Robot stories by Asimov are some of my favorites for the clever puzzles with very human emotion he managed--even on the part of those emotionless robots. I liked the earlier Foundation novels better than some of the later ones that ventured into larger social issues (normally I'm perfectly capable of ignoring those as I read).
Hi, Robin - I read "The Far Pavilions" years ago and loved it! So glad you found this one. I am lost in the land of edits, but some day I plan to come back (I hope). Miriam
Thanks for joining our group. You can add your books to the list there too!
thanks for the invite. I would write more but I am high on retsina
Hi Robin,Thank you for the invite! I hope you would consider checking out the books I Confess and I Confess 2 by Carol Ann Culbert Johnson, or one of our other featured books.
Thanks for the invite, Robin. Someday I might actually get around to adding some of my fave books here - lol!
Thanx for your note. Okay, so you are really into fantasy romance stuff, right? I loved, & I mean loved, The Mists of Avalon series. Do you have any recommendations for me? I have read some other Marion Zimmer Bradley but am wondering about another author. Let me know. I do read some heady stuff, too, but really like some brain candy in between like sorbet! Take care, Nancy
Your books look interesting. Thanks for inviting me.SAlly
