Thanks again... for the reply to my question regarding "Out in the world" by Neil Miller. You wrote that you found it interesting to see how other cultures view homosexuality. I hear ya on this. ;) I was born and raised (from age 8-16) in a small German village and after that (at age 16 - 21) in a medium-sized city . (I've been living in the US, for the past 17 years.) Nobody seemed to ever having made a big deal about somebody being gay.... at least not that I can remember. People may have said something like... "You know... Jimmy's got a 'male friend'..." or such but not much else. On the other hand, the "scene" - back then - wasn't all "out" like in San Fran. ;P Most gays hung out in regular pubs/clubs or in rather low-key gay venues. Nothing like some of the places in NYC's Village or in San Fran. (Well.... perhaps there were some places in BERLIN. LOL. )In any case, I'll look the book up; see if I can find it somewhere.
