I'm a publicist and own a media group -- The J Standard (visit www.thejstandard.com) -- and I love what I do. My first official job in life was at the local public library as a page and I was the only page to volunteer to shelve books in the basement, so I could read. Flash forward ... I just learned today that one of the books I've edited, Cruisin' on Desperation by Pat G'Orge-Walker entered the Essence Bestsellers List, so I'm geeked. Edited for Marilynn Griffith and a number of self-published authors. « less
