I guess it goes without saying that I love books and reading; I'm here on a social network for readers. Although I'll try reading almost anything once, my favorite reads are science fiction and fantasy; history and historical fiction are up there, too. Having my children reintroduced me to my favorite books from childhood and also got me reading some great new children's books, too. I even decided to go back to school and am earning my Master's in Library & Information Science; I'm studying to be a children's librarian (and perhaps throw some digital archiving in for good measure).

I'm also a knitter and aspiring quilter. I'm currently trying to teach myself how to use my sewing machine.

My husband is also an obsessive reader, so our apartment looks something like a mad scientist's library. Which is fine by me. « less
