I just thought that it would translate well into a movie adaptation since the story isn't that complicated. Feels a bit like Casper and a little of Sixth Sense, it has a dose of suspense and good story building. Hopefully they won't ruin it, since it doesn't really need a big name child actor. They just have to make it believable.

Are they also showing Inception in 3D? I still feel that 3D is a bit of a fad, its just an extra layer of icing on the cake. It just blows you more visually when added to an already excellent movie. Or going back to our cake, with a deliciously made cake, it makes it more appealing and tasty but add the layers of icing to a horribly made cake then it's just sugar coating that's better wiped off entirely. :)
Hope you don't get too stuck in the dream world... you might get sucked in. No problem! Studies first :)

ohh I haven't stumbled onto your pieces.. got any? I'd love to critic them if you want, although I'm no literature grad. I just enjoy reading interesting pieces and stories. Is there any news of making the Graveyard Book into a movie? I haven't heard if there would be one.

Wow... you really did watch it on Tuesday. I kind of feel that I forced you to see it. haha my bad. But glad you did enjoy it (or else I might get a beating from you). I don't get it why no one would accompany you? It wasn't a bore or a cheap movie. I wonder what your theory is... pm me so it won't spoil other people reading the notes. There's actually a list of things you should know about it, here i'll post it it doesn't contain any spoilers. About your writing, I meant it as how you articulate your thoughts/comments here. After conversing with you I gave Fragile Things another chance, I guess the office isn't the best place to read it... haha. I also looked for the title of the devil and the rich man, and its "Other People", very appropriate. It starts with "Time is fluid here". Gaiman's specialty is what you said, plus other-worldly stuff. I'm actually thinking that the Graveyard Book could translate well into the big screen.

The movie is not exactly sci-fi. For me, I'd say its a psychological thriller that deals a lot on dreams and the sub-conscious state. I hope you won't bash me later on if you won't like LT. Anyway tell me your thoughts once you get to watch Inception. No worries about it, its only a suggestion and I'm fine with that. I also buy my books, it feels nice to have them. I just wish I have a bigger storage / shelf for them. haha.

No wonder your writing is really good. -speechless- I think that was it... the Devil and the rich man. After being tormented over and over, once he's broken he became the tormentor.

You're welcome, I won't recommend if its not worth seeing. As for the Percy Jackson series, at first it looks maybe a Potter hybrid for some people, because he's a kid and all that, but the novel's are an enjoyable read. I didn't have a dull moment with them. They also differ in their manner's HP is the shy type, while PJ is a hyper kid and gutsy. If you liked the movie on the Lightning Thief, then you'll like the novel better. Very similar but like in book-to-movies/tv adaptations, they always change some stuff. I actually bought the novel prior to the release of the movie this year, good thing I was still able to find some hardbound book at the bookstore/s here. The bandwagon on the PJ series is not too... let's say pronounced. Unlike the twilight series or HP series during its heyday. I'd let you borrow it if you want to :)

Hmm... that might be why. I wasn't able to read American Gods, I was thinking this was just a mixed collection of short stories / poems / and other literary stuff he has stashed away.
Are you still studying right now? "A Study in Emerald" was one of the first, if not the first, if my memory serves me right. That one I had no problems reading, since I love reading mysteries the others though are a bit of a "huh.. what" for me. I kinda liked the devil / torture story, forgot the title. It comes back full circle. I'll try your recommendation after reading my other pending books.. maybe I could borrow it from you so I don't have to purchase it... haha kiddin.

Nahh go ahead, I'm glad to learn new stuff from others. So go on ahead, I miss debating / discussing other stuff besides work. Please call me Rich. Don't make me feel that old :) btw, go watch Inception. You might enjoy it, keeps you thinking until the end.

I guess its just me. I just didn't get some of the stories, maybe I should just borrow Smoke and Mirrors.
But I liked and enjoyed the Graveyard Book.

Thanks. Are you still reading Gaiman's Fragile Things? I gave up on it a few days ago.
