Reading is my form of escape from the real world. Reality sucks... sometimes :) I just have to get away from it all once in a while. And these books are my gateway to freedom.

I was a bit disappointed with this book; I expected it to be really funny but most of the stories ended up flat and a bit boring.

Not a very good book, and that's saying something since I'm not usually that picky when it comes to plot, writing style, etc. The stories are so lame, can't understand where each story is leading, and I felt disappointed after each ending.

Vnitage Gaiman! Again, he weaves his wonderful magic; the book is enchanting, sad, funny, and heartwarming, never mind the ghoulish setting. Who else can make a vampire and a werewolf so endearing and lovable but Neil. Highly recommended!

I totally loved this book! And now it's one of my all time favorites! Sophie's character is amazing. She bravely faced her problems and did not allow herself to panic and wallow in self-pity. The movie wasn't too bad either. Hayao's version is also fantastic! I'm glad a friend of mine gave this book to me as a gift. Arigato, julie-san! :)

I loved this book. What's best about it? Iorek! He is soooo cool!!! Lyra, too, of course. I also think Asriel is a pretty interesting character. There's more to him than what you initially think. Makes you want to finish the whole series.

The book is pretty good. I loved Will's character, the way the author described him as being mature and grown-up for his age, probably because of all he had to go through to protect his mother. Lyra on the other hand was not as interesting as she had been in the 1st book, but I still liked her character. I missed Iorek here, though. All in all, this is Will's book.
