jonathan livingston seagull was my fiance's first gift to me 30 plus years back,,,i had never read anything like this before ..infact i was a little confused ..because the book talked about non conformation and i was walking into the most conforming of institutions (specially for women) ...marriage ..so will i be able to fly...do things my way ..like jonathan ..or will i get stuck in the mire of marriage,in-laws, family....finally life was a mix of some compromises, some flights..maybe not so high ...but thats what life is..
so th book was a land mark for me ,,,and as kishmish79 says ..taught me a lot about life....
