Books Rock!

Books Rock!

I like a variety of books, but mostly love to escape into a good story. I teach second graders with my mission being to create a strong love of reading into them.

I highly recommend George and the Dragon (now on my shelf) for your students. It's a picture-book masterpiece!

I like your eclectic book shelf and have read several books on your shelf. My love of reading was inspired by my 1st grade teacher and I think that teachers are such important individuals in our children's lives! I would love to be friends!

Yes. I am subbing. It is not the easiest thing I have done but I am really enjoying it. I get to meet lots of different students. I have enjoyed fifth grade the most so far. Of course, I have only been subbing for two weeks. I am learning a lot about different grades and schools. It wasn't my first choice because I don't have my own classroom. Although, I do have a lot of things in the basement that I could prolly set up to make one. Perhaps I could teach my book buddies (the stuffed animals my prekers read to). I do have an interview next week. The first few weeks of school is always so labor intensive. Train, train, train and repeat, repeat, repeat. I will believe with you that next week goes better!
