What can I say...I LOVE to read post-apocalyptic/horror fiction and some mysteries, quirky facts about history , mostly horror.
I am a canvas and clay folk artist...so my reading interests lean in that direction as well.
I am 41 years old, happily married mother of two (21 and 18). I was a homeschool Mom throughout their academic life...more »

    Hi Rhonda:

I homeschooled my daughter for the first 4 years. We both enjoyed it. Then she decided she wanted to go to public school. It was kind of funny because people always have that preconceived notion that homeschooled kids are anti-social.

Not my little butterfly!! She was teacher's pet the first year in public school. She is now 17...with one more year to go. I rarely see her since she has such a "busy social life". lol

Some days she says she wants to stay home again...but then my life has changed now. I write full-time...and I suck at high school math! lol

Thanks for the offer. Believe me, if I do take the leap, I will be asking everyone I know for advice re: homeschooling. For now, I'm still working on taking the leap to be a full-time sahm. I work about 10 hours a week right now. And I know that doesn't sound like much. But I really feel like it just takes me away from home and school too much. If I can't homeschool, I at least want to be a presence in the public school as much as possilbe.
Right now, the plan is for me to finish out working until June and then quit to stay home full-time. I can't wait!! :-)

Rhonda, I just got a request for friendship from you and had to say hi. I love it that you have so many cats and a dog. We have 3 cats and 1 dog ourselves and people think we are nuts. But I can't imagine NOT having a house-full of animals. :-)
I also have 2 children -- girls who are 5 and 7. They are in public school right now, but I have considered home schooling them many times. If I end up leaning that way, I may have to hit you up for some advice!

Hello, I like to welcome the "cat" people to Shelfari. From the looks of your books, you might like that movie :) I am a big Dorothy Sayers fan, but most of the rest of your books make me want to suck my thumb with all the lights on and go check the locks on my doors. *shiver*
