Teaching high school kids Civics and Economics keeps me busy. I try to read when I can and currently have a large stack of unread books that doesn't seem to get any smaller. That still won't stop me from picking up new ideas here and adding to my unread stack.

    Greetings rqpait,
I am enlisting the help of my friends. I would like Shelfari to make it possible for us to tag the books on our Reading list as we do those on our shelf. I use this list to record books I own but haven't yet read. Tagging would prevent the duplicate purchase of a book and also allow us, at a glance, to see what books we have on that list. If you think this is a good idea, would you, please, send the suggestion to Shelfari? If enough of us ask, perhaps they will do this for us.

    Hi rgpait!
Ohhhhh thank you for the tip on Vince Flynn! I'm not acquainted with this author but I loooooove novels with CIA types of themes! I'm going to love this assassin!

    Hi rgpait,
I haven't yet purchased the book A Walk for Sunshine. I have a list of books in the glove compartment of the car so it is always with me. I have so many books I want to purchase! Some of what I want can probably be found in Thrift Stores but several of them will have to be purchased from Barnes & Noble...a very dangerous place for me to visit! Hmmmm all those books and the smell of coffee, the comfy chairs! What are you reading now?

my dad was stationed at Camp Lejeune for years
I worked in Winston-Salem for about 7 years before I began my travels that would ultimately land me in Colorado.....the two places I miss most: 1) the Outer Banks 2) Asheville
nice selection of books...I got a few ideas for future reading

    Hi rgpait,
Thank you for that information. I didn't know Stephen Katz was a pseudo name for his friend. But given the details of "Katz" alcoholism I suppose Bryson thought it kind to refrain from using his real name. But Katz was such a funny character. I loved him. I'll have to check out the other author you recommended who writes about the A.T. Happy Reading
