The basic issue since Plato expounded it, about 2400 yrs back still remains the same:
    1. What is justice?
    2. Is the just person happier than the unjust, though the unjust has manipulated its way to reach and survie on the top of social ladder?

Great book - many levels. On love, tragedy, family, culture... Great despriptions/ scenes.
I went to Kyoto soon after reading this book and searched high and low for a geisha. My friend and I think we saw one through a window in an alley. Definately a dying art in our day and age. Kyoto is beautiful for a number of reasons. Wonderful local artists and museums, zen gardens. I suggest you add it to your list of travel destinations
