When I was younger I hated to read. I didn't find it appealing and all the books that teachers made me read were dumb. I never thought books could be fun, but the world was plotting against me. I was always put in higher reading (TAG) when I was little but I didn't like to read, I wanted to be in TAG math. NEVER HAPPENED. I remember being in the higher reading class (3rd grade) and my teacher gave me the book matilda. I cried and said I couldn't read it because it was too big. (i look at it now and laugh because i can read that no problem). Well i didn't find a love of reading until later when i found out that books could be interesting. For example: The true confessions of Charlotte Doyle (that was a turning point), Wolfrider (first line is "i think i just killed someone"), and then Iris Johansen(and all her eve duncan books). As you can tell i like mysteries and thriller books. But NOW i read anything and everything. I LOVE BOOKS, i physically feel better being in a bookstore or library surrounded by books. I was buying books faster than i was reading them. I actually had to buy another bookshelf to house the books. So i have started a project where i will not buy another book until i've finished reading the books from my private library. I have 1 year to read all the books i own. If i don't i must give them away :(. I know sad so wish me luck....i have around 170 books to read by August 15th, 2010. « less
