I was a mid-life career changer. I transitioned from being an active duty Army officer, through various helping professions (paraprofessional level) to finally becoming a psychotherapist in Florida. So, in case you were wondering - all of these books aren't because I have a lot of personal problems (although, who doesn't have some) - I use them in bibliotherapy with clients.
I specialize in treating people with addictions (alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, shopping, etc) and all the extra "stuff" that comes with it. I use expressive arts therapy in conjunction with the more traditional cognitive behavioral therapies, EMDR and hypnotherapy.
I also enjoy scrapbooking, genealogy, travel, music, the outdoors, antiques....especially travel, though ( just don't have a lot of time for it right now). One of my aims is to find travel opportunities at a decent price which also afford Continuing Education Units.
