More exciting news at the Suspense & Thrillers Group…as you might already know that Keith Katsikas, author of “2060: The Newton Prophecies” will be leading a discussion on his book. We don’t have a date set up yet, but will in a couple of weeks.

In the meantime, Amanda Stevens, author of THE DOLLMAKER, has also agreed to lead the discussion for May’s Group Read, which is THE DOLLMAKER. I’m really excited as this is something new and might become a new trend with our group discussions. If you’ve already read the book, come join us. If not, see if you can grab a copy. There’s still time as the discussion won’t begin until the first week of May.

Thanks for joining the Suspense & Thrillers group! Love having new members. Though it might be on page 4 of the discussions, there is a spot for introductions as well as members who’d like updates, so jump in at any time.

Also know there are like 13 pages of discussions. When you go to the group’s home page, click on “view all discussions” From there, scroll down and you’ll see 1 of 13. Click on the next page to view the remaining posts. Please feel free to add a comment or two. We’d love to hear what you think.

Each month we have a group read. Those threads are saved for new members joining, in case they’d like to add their input.

On the 1st of March, a new group read was started which is MYSTIC RIVER by Dennis Lehane. Our February Group Read was THE WATER’S LOVELY by Ruth Rendell. If you can find a copy, join in anytime. We also have previous buddy & group reads posted. Please feel free to add your comments and questions to those as well.

Voting for the next Group Read is underway. Actually, it’s for the next three months. We’d love for you to stop by and cast your votes.

We also have something new. It’s a Suspense & Thriller Challenge. More can be found on the group or at http://suspense-thriller-challenge.blogspot.com/ We even have a Yahoo Group for this at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/suspense-thriller-challenge/

If you have any questions, please let me know!

I have an Australian connection via my great grandfather, which had almost slipped my mind. It goes somewhat like this: Great grandfather was an Australian who came to India; Grandfather was an Aussie-Indian who married an Indian Catholic; Father an Indian who married (my mother) an Aussie-Indian. It's a funny calculation; but that gives me some 12.5% Australian genes. It's not a tale. It really happened. I'll find out more details from my 79-year-old Mother (who married at 15-16 years) and let you know more details of the 'story'.Her maiden name was Maizie Reynolds and all my uncles and aunts and their offspring have the surname Reynolds.

    Hi Brian,
The Indian background is interesting. May I ask your late mother's maiden name? Please do come to India and be my guest.

    Hi Brian,
Good to know that you are an Indophile of sorts. It would be great to be in touch. Have you ever visited India or plan to do so?

Yeh Brian, I love Jack London's books, they are brilliant. I'm sure we have many more books in common, it's just I can't remember the half of them, I'm sure you're having the same problem! hehe

What did you feel about the Da Vinci Code? I mean, the premise of hidden meanings behind portraits was good and the background info was a great read. But I can't say I was 'wowed'. I'm trying to think of any book that really wowed me actually.
