Reojames

I'm a graphic designer. I love reading more than (almost) anything, and I also love art. Art of all sorts.
My favorite books tend to be more off beat than traditional. I love a good weird book. more »

Just wanted to let you know that my new novel, Dirty Little Angels, is now available. I thought you might like it since it’s been compared to Daniel Woodrell, whom I noticed was on your shelf. Here’s a link to the Shelfari page in case you’re interested:

Would you want me to update you when we have cool authors come to King College to speak? Matt and I could put you up if you ever want to make the trip. We've had Thomas Lynch, Clyde Edgerton, Wendell Berry, Frederick Buechner and more visit and speak. For some reason I never thought to alert you. Just let me know.

I read Hunchback last year. You're right; it's nothing like Disney's version. But I can't say that I loved it. I found it very depressing and overly wordy. Les Miserable is a much more redemptive work by Hugo. Another great book is Count of Monte Cristo- my all-time favorite.

    Eclectic Book Club Peeps:

All righty, let's have those nominations for our next big read. What's everyone in the mood for?

Post your selections in the "Genres" thread and we'll hash it out. If that takes too much energy, I will put all genres nominated in a hat and pick one at random!

Dear Reojames: I don't know if you would call my novel HUNTING THE KING weird, but it is unique with a touch of the paranormal. If you have time to watch the YouTube book trailer, do so. It is awesome. Here are the details:
HUNTING THE KING is a fast-paced page-turner that follows archaeologist Molly O’Dwyer into war torn Iraq in search of the remains of Jesus. ForeWord Magazine says: “Fans of intellectual thrillers and historical fiction will find a worthy new voice in Clenott. His best invention may be Molly O’Dwyer, a genuinely likable heroine who more than holds her own in a man’s world. An ambitious scientist, she is also an observant Catholic whose heart and mind don’t always agree. Given such an auspicious start, the sequel can’t come too soon.” Molly O’Dwyer is an in-your-face woman with a mysterious background who’s about to go on the adventure of a lifetime.

As I said, to get a good sense of how powerful the book is, check out the heart-pounding booktrailer on YouTube or on my web site at www.peterclenott.com. It is like watching a preview for an exciting movie. The novel is equally exciting.

If you can’t get to your local bookstore, you can find it on Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, and Kunati Books. I hope you’ll take a look. And let me know what you think. You can talk to Molly on her blog at http://gospelofhannaniah.blogspot.com.

    Thanks. Peter.
