As always, please do not send me group invitations. As little as I am on the site anymore, I am not participating in groups or discussions, as I do not have time and often forget about Shelfari completely. I am also no longer accepting friend requests for the same reason.
Favorite Books/Authors:
Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling
Laura Ingalls Wilder series, Laura Ingalls Wilder
Heartland series, Lauren Brooke
Thoroughbred series (author name escapes me)
Forgive the Wind series, Cindy Holby (corresponded with her a few times)
Cowboys and Seven Brides series, Leigh Greenwood (same as above)
Etc....
I'm not as big into reading for pleasure as I used to be. College turned that hobby off, probably because I was forced to read a lot more for classes and ended up hating it. I do, however, judge books by their covers. Covers either intrigue me or don’t, which determines (generally) whether I’ll read them or not.
Disliked Books/Authors:
Twilight saga, Stephenie Meyer (ugh, don't get me started!!!)
Mitch Albom (I just got bored)
Jodi Picoult (I don't understand the hype, her books are all the same and boring!!!)
Etc....
I'm 21 and a college junior. Most of my time is spent doing homework and rehearsing voice and musical. I catch as much NCIS as possible (my fave TV show) and try to spend some quality time with friends, too. I LOVE Broadway musicals, an obsession that started four years ago, when I was a junior in high school. My all-time favorite is RENT (saw it live in NYC, 5/30/08), followed by Wicked (saw it live in NYC, 5/31/08), Sweeney Todd, Jesus Christ Superstar (saw it live, locally, 12/26/09), Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, Les Miserables, and Phantom of the Opera. And yes, to the JCSS point, Ted Neeley was my JC. He was pretty amazing!!! If I am not Mrs. Lovett on Broadway before I die, I will not die happy.
My current favorite TV show is NCIS. This obsession started around my senior year of high school and intensified in college. I enjoyed Eastwick a lot, while it lasted, and I hope it comes out on DVD. I catch Burn Notice sometimes, as well as Royal Pains. I grew up loving Due South, until it got canceled. I loved Strong Medicine while it lasted, too. I also grew up watching Batman: The Animated Series as well, and I'm glad the episodes are online and/or get re-aired on DisneyXD from time to time.
I love to sing, play piano, ride horse, and write and read fan fiction. I love food, boys, to watch movies, TV, read books, listen to music, watch the sun set, to love my two dogs and cat, to go driving and/or walking on beautiful days, a good hard rain or thunderstorm, and baby animals. I want to visit England, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Ireland someday.
