“I never really care about age groups appropriate (or not appropriate) for a book. But I do think that, suddenly, in this book, the age group has expanded too quickly to only including young adults and adults, when Twilight and New Moon were originally meant for pretty much anyone who could read at that level.
I didn't feel this book progressed much at all. All it seemed to be about, to me, was the tension, and release of tension, between the werewolves and the vampires. The release of this tension came when they had to band together to defeat Victoria - and succeeded, I might add.
But I was so looking forward to Bella marrying Edward, and when that never happened (it was rarely even spoken of, except in arguments and outbursts by Bella and Edward), she never turned into a vampire after graduation, like she said she would, because she realized she really wasn't ready - well, with all the hype about that in New Moon and Twilight, I was really, really hoping she would have.
Overall, Twilight is fantastic and will always be on my top 10 list, most likely. New Moon was really good, because I liked the connection Jacob made with Bella; he helped her heal while Edward was away, after she somewhat went insane. But he never left her, no matter what, which I think proves him to be almost better than Edward. Still, nothing beats vampires, but it at least gives the werewolves more credit. I'm glad that Bella and Jacob finally told each other that they loved each other more than friends, and that, in a way, they saved each other, too. But Bella still loves Edward more, and she and Jacob agreed on this, so I'm hoping for a better reprieve from all unanswered questions, and especially a wedding, in book 4, Breaking Dawn. But Breaking Dawn won't be released until well after I graduate, so I'm very disappointed by that. But I will have to check it out anyway.”
