Winter has come, the land barren, frozen, life at a standstill. The mind stagnant, bored. A spark, then another. Creativity rears its head again. Let us slowly...slowly...roll up our sleeves... THANKS FOR PATIENCE DEAR FRIENDS, getting into the new routine, new kiddo in the house! I am 33 and holding... I have 4!! beautiful kids, 7, 5, 3, and 15 months! and have been married to a great guy for 9years. I have been an avid reader all my life, thanks to my parents. Our rule growing up was bed by 8 but we could read til 8:30. (sometimes a flashlight under the covers meant 9.) I have books in my car (just in case, there could be road construction) books in the diaper bag (just in case, you might have to wait at a dr. appt) books by the bed, on the treadmill, how awful to be caught somewhere with spare time and no book, ha ha. That being said, I dont have as much time to read as Id like, but Im always prepared! Before I had kids I was a part-time librarian in a small-town, it was great to wander around the shelves, trying new authors. The funniest story about that was when a high school friend heard I was working there and asked if it was for community service, I dont know if she asked because I was so young or because of past behavior? :) I hope to expand my love of reading by trying new genres, and its great fun to scan other members shelves for ideas and comments! I also hope to install a love of reading in my kids, and I really enjoy reading books to them that I loved and still do, (dr. seuss!)
