I even put the sequel on my to-read list! I only have one more of Marisa's challenge books to read. I think I will read Serving Crazy with Curry or Life of Pi.

Hey Buddy~ Did you write down or can you remember the titles of two of the books we saw in Borders? One was up front -- a comedy about a woman who didn't like to read whose parents hired someone to write her story. The other one was about a woman who owned a tea shop who was going to be reviewed by an English tea afficianado. I've been searching for them and can't find the titles anywhere.

Jesse just finished Life of Pi on audio. He liked it a lot...I knew I was taking a stretch in recommending it to him, but I was glad he liked it. I don't know as though that book is for everyone--especially on audio. He liked I am Messenger as well. I've got Bloody Jack on audio for him. My mom is hooked on the series; she's already on Mississippi Jack! And now she's got my stepfather hooked...he's starting the Curse of the Blue Tattoo. I'm not sure what I'll get for him next??? Any audio recommendations?

I liked the descriptions of 19th century Paris. I felt like I was there. As for Victor, he was kind of annoying...I think grasshopper might be a good description of him. I thought Tasha was flaky and the ending where they end up happily together made me want to gag. She was too flighty and into all the wrong men to have a sudden about face and "realize" she was to be with Victor, but then again he called her a couple of pretty nasty names and got aggressive so maybe he fits into the category of "wrong men." To know more about Kenji would have been neat...what his perspective on being a minority during a time in Paris where multiple ethnicities were coming together in celebration of a great monument. The story was kind of slow and skittered about like the main character, but I still found myself hypnotized by Paris. Weird, eh?

Go to the above link. It takes you to a website for "Book Diary 2009." It is a notebook/journal for bookreaders such as yourself and I thought that it is something you and Sue would love!

I won a book!!! I'm finally checking my e-mail and received two e-mails boosting my chi and karma! One was a bookseller refunding my money, but allowing me to keep my purchase and the other was from freebookfriday.com...I won a signed copy of "Frenemies." How is that? I get stomach flu and my chi turns an about face! I started Bryson...he is entertaining and educational ;) Can't wait to see you on Friday...if not before :))
