    Hi Regie,
Sounds like some amazing places you visited lately. I am still not travelling much outside of work, but has started to do a little reading again since Iris has become a bit more regular, which is nice and relaxing. That book sounds quite interesting. I might try to read it, although I have a pile to get through first.
    Take care, Jonas

I have only started the Secret Supper - I like it so far. However, I am reading Beneath a Marble Sky at the moment as it is due at the library tomorrow! That is a really good book. I will def check out the Expected One. Not too much is new with me - had a lot of parties and things to go to! So lacking on the reading. I was really sorry to hear about you losing your patients. I know how hard it is from the family perspective and it must be the worst part of your job. My mom fortunately is a lung cancer survivor but I know how horrifying lung cancer can be.

Ok, sorry for being missing in action. How are you doing? Hope all is well :)

Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you. It's been a crazy week. I loved 'The Historian'! But then I sort of like spooky vampire tales. However, if you read the Twilight series it is nothing more than a teen romance. I actually just finished the third book, 'Eclipse' today and I can't say I liked it too much. Basically, it is about a teen girl who falls for a vampire. However, she makes girls look bad. She just mopes about how she wants to be with him forever... so it is more a teen romance and there is not anything scary going on.

If you are ever in NY, just let me know. I enjoy meeting new people!

Hope you are having a lovely weekend :0)

I am in NYC at the moment. My family is all around the area. I actually came back because my mom is sick. I am hoping to go back to school next year to become a nurse. Ok, that will take a few years! I would love to be a travel nurse or at least have those skills cos they open up more doors to me than my current degree. I would love to try to live in the Netherlands - trying to teach myself Dutch. But you never know where life will take you or what will happen.

Have you tried reading the Stephenie Meyers Twilight series (sorry I am not looking at your bookshelf right now). They are quick fun reads about a teenager in love with a vampire.

I may try and change my profile pic - you can see my goddaugther she is Filopino and the cutest little girl ever!

Your job sounds interesting. Do you work in pharmaceuticals? Are you in Manila? Sorry for all the questions!

Have a nice weekend - what's left of it!

You are lucky. My job never lets me travel.

My best friend is from the Phillipines! I know a few words in tagalog (ate, cooya, nai - I know I am not spelling any of that right!). I love the food! Adobo chicken, halo halo (again sorry with the spelling), lunganeesa?

So see now I am jealous of you and all your travelling! :0)

Hi there! Trust me my life is nothing to envy - travelling all around the place is what happens when you don't know what to do with your life!

    Where are you from?

OK, it sounds like you did have a nice time in Paris, although the schedule was probably a bit ambitious. I only saw the movie 'Da Vinci Code' but it is a nice idea to make it into a sightseeing tour. Look forward to seeing it in the Travel group. Well, although it would have been great to see you in real life, I should admit that life those first weeks of Iris were quite crazy, so in a way I am glad that we did not have too many visitors (basically only my mother in fact). So we'll have to make it another time ...

Well, sounds like you have your hands full then. For the Alchemyst, I don't know much about it, or even Monsieur Flamel (he was a famous alchemist, I assume.) I know that the swedish writer August Strindberg was a big fan Alchemy, and writes a lot about it in his Inferno. I am not sure if you ever posted anything about your Paris trip in the Travel group, but if you did I missed it. How did you like Paris ? Good food at least, I guess.
