Gospel Light was among the first companies to introduce Christian paperback books to their Sunday School curriculum line with the book imprint, "Regal Books". The first paperback produced was "How to Be a Christian Without Being Religious" by Fritz Ridenour (of which there are over four million copies in print). Also released was Gospel Light founder Henrietta Mears' book "What the Bible Is All About Bible Handbook" (which includes a foreword by Billy Graham), which became a bestseller and was foundational to Regal's backlist (there are also over four million copies in print).
