Ooh, I'm glad you enjoyed it Rhonda. Of course, I'd ultimately thank Carrie cause she recommended it to me. I was surprised by the end just how much I loved it.

If someone can read only one Vonnegut novel, I think it would have to be Slaughterhouse Five. It's probably his most personal work and the best example of his writing style. But, really this person would be greatly missing out. His books read very quickly, so I would just count on reading at least Slaughterhouse Five, Mother Night (my favorite), and Cat's Cradle. One could probably read all three in the time it takes to read most moderately-sized books.

Indeed. If anything, the level of one's genius is usually inversely proportional to one's character. And thank you for the nice comments. I guess I would write more book reviews lately, but I'm about caught up on books I've actually read in my life. So for now it's just back to reading for awhile.

What was that I heard once about Thomas Hardy writing his own biography but then making his wife take credit for it so he wouldn't seem so into himself? Can you explain that to me?

Hey! Sorry it took me so long to get your invite to this site. There were a few months there that I just let my inbox fill up. Anyway, I'm back. And I can't wait to set up my profile here, this seems like a great network. Thanks again. :)

I really liked Twilight, and I loved The Vampire Diaries, and I also loved The Da Vinci Code....... and I don't know if you should count most of them as books, their the Junie B. Jones and Magic tree house that i read in kindergarden and first grade

That's a good question. Unfortunately, I do not think they would be appropriate for a younger audience. Despite their cartoonish appearance, the content itself is quite adult reading. I have the books myself so if you're interested I'd be happy to lend them to you.

Thanks for your note. I too like Hardy. We're currently up to Part Three in Pickwick. You'll find the episode breakdowns in one of the discussion threads at the Dickens of a Group.
