Don't get to read as much as I'd want so those on my shelf are books I've read the past years, the one's on my reading list are well...on my reading list (sometimes I start reading a book and need a break from it so I'll start with another but always take a mental note where I left off with the others - well, of course, there's also the bookmarker) and my wish list is pretty much the one's I'm hoping to read in the near future, most of which I already have copies of. I share and swap some books with my older brother and his wife. Whenever I'm at a forum/seminar or watching some show, I have this habit of taking down quotes and books mentioned by speakers or whoever am talking with. I normally don't read synopsis - with books or movies. I just like being surprised (or unsurprised, if the book happens to be a bad one - whichever is the case).
Been looking for a book club for a long time. Shelfari is a good way to exchange ideas and book reviews with people. I've logged in as redballoon because it's the title of the very first book, to my memory that I've read in my childhood. It's not in on our list, I've checked to no avail. Anyway, I remember the graphics and the wordings properly but lost the book to termites through time. Last year, I chanced upon a reprinted copy at a local Christian store....so am reunited with my redballoon.
When my brain gets too stuffed with ideas, I watch shows like House, PrisonBreak, Supernatural, GhostWhisperer, Grey's Anatomy, One Tree Hill and Smallville (just make sure the Green Arrow guest stars). Reruns of Friends still always crack me up. But given a choice, I still prefer to be stuck with a good book. Some of my favorite authors include CS Lewis, Jeffrey Archer and John Grishman. Give me fruits and water and lock me up in a library, I'll be fine for a weeK! :D Happy reading everyone!
