Hello all!

I have a natural curiosity which leads me to explore all kinds of different genres but I think my favorite is romance. As a child I was read to at night and fostered a love for reading from my parents. Now, as a librarian, I am fortunate to work around books all day! It's a FUN job!

Happy Mother's Day! The best advice I can give you initially is to pace yourself. Take naps when your baby does and try not to stress. As the baby gets older, be as consistent as possible with your rules and don't threaten anything you aren't willing to follow through with. Did you decide on reading anything?

Well, it looks like we have very different reading tastes. So, I may not be the best person to ask. LOL. From your TBR I would say Night Circus is a good read, and Jane Eyre would keep you busy for awhile ;-). I do see you have some Middle East books on your favorites list. I recently read Rooftops of Tehran and found it absolutely beautiful.

I was in bed for six months. I have a lot of health problems and fell down some stairs when I was only three months pregnant with my first baby. I kept trying to go into premature labor and had to stay completely bed ridden. She is not 25 years old, has a one year old, and pregnant with her second baby! So, hang in there. It can be done. iS this your first baby? I'm sure you miss your mom. I hope you have a support system to help you through the questions if it is your first one.

In Play Book Tag we are reading books in your mother's memory. I just completed Crime and Punishment in her honor. She had it on her shelf. I wish I could discuss it with her. I always enjoyed her thoughts.

I really wish I could have known her personally. She sounds tremendous, but her inner glow came shining through the computer to all of us at Play Book Tag. I'm very much looking forward to reading one of her favorite Agatha Christie novels in her honor. I wish I could do more . . .

I hope you are hanging in there during this very tough time.

I am one of the admins at Play Book Tag, and I just wanted to say I am so so sorry about the loss of your mom. She seemed like a wonderful person, and I enjoyed my Shelfari friendship with her.

We are doing a tribute to your mom where members will pick one of her favorite books off of her shelf and read it to honor her.

She will be greatly missed. I had wondered why we hadn't seen her in awhile, but had just assumed she was busy with other Shelfari groups.

    My sincere condolences.

Hello, Katie. I’m the author of The Sandal Maker, a new novel about the public ministry of Jesus from a unique point of view, a little controversial at times, but you will see him as never before. It’s a story that will take you on a fascinating journey in first century Galilee. Have you ever wondered what is was like to live in those times? What part did women play in his ministry? Was he the first feminist? Were the miracles real? Why did Judas betray the Master? How does the gospel of Jesus compare to the gospel according to Peter and Paul? This is a “must read” for those on a true spiritual quest. You can read reviews at Amazon.com. I’m including a link to copy and paste. Let me know what you think.
