Readingrat

I've been an avid reader all my life although I had to take a little break from reading novels (except for vacations) while my kids were young. So now I'm playing catch-up on all the good books I missed during that time.

Did you read The Sister by Poppy Adams for the Barnes and Noble first look club? If so, are you reading Songs for the Missing?

    Eclectic Book Club Peeps:

All righty, let's have those nominations for our next big read. What's everyone in the mood for?

Post your selections in the "Genres" thread and we'll hash it out. If that takes too much energy, I will put all genres nominated in a hat and pick one at random!

More exciting news at the Suspense & Thrillers Group…as you might already know that Keith Katsikas, author of “2060: The Newton Prophecies” will be leading a discussion on his book. We don’t have a date set up yet, but will in a couple of weeks.

In the meantime, Amanda Stevens, author of THE DOLLMAKER, has also agreed to lead the discussion for May’s Group Read, which is THE DOLLMAKER. I’m really excited as this is something new and might become a new trend with our group discussions. If you’ve already read the book, come join us. If not, see if you can grab a copy. There’s still time as the discussion won’t begin until the first week of May.

There are a couple of people having trouble locating a copy of ‘The Dollmaker’ for our April Group Read at S/T Group. Would you mind if we switch around things by having April's Group Read - MONKEEWRENCH by P. J. Tracy, May's Group Read - THE DOLLMAKER by Amanda Stevens, and leave June's Group Read - A WICKED SNOW by Gregg Olsen?

    Let me know. Thanks!

Dear Readingrat: Sorry for the self-promotion. I've got young kids now, so I have to do this during my lunch break. I am having my debut novel, HUNTING THE KING, come out this April. I hope it is the door opening for both me and my family. Since you are part of the thrillers reading group, I thought I would let you know something about the novel in the hopes that you would watch for it.

HUNTING THE KING is a fast-paced page-turner that follows archaeologist Molly O'Dwyer into war torn Iraq in search of the remains of Jesus. ForeWord Magazine says: "Fans of intellectual thrillers and historical fiction will find a worthy new voice in Clenott. His best invention may be Molly O’Dwyer, a genuinely likeable heroine who more than holds her own in a man’s world. An ambitious scientist, she is also an observant Catholic whose heart and mind don’t always agree. Given such an auspicious start, the sequel can't come too soon."

While the book isn't available until April, you can find it on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kunati Books and other googleable sites. You won't be disappointed.

To get a good sense of how exciting the novel is check out the heartpounding trailer for the book at http://www.kunati.books/hunting-the-king-peter-clenott/. Or you can view it on YouTube or my web site at www.peterclenott.com. Let me know what you think. Your response will let me know if I am reaching the right readers. Thanks.

I hope you will take the time to view my YouTube book trailer at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-t0K34iU6g. I am doing some research about potential characters to play the lead role in the upcoming movie. Hope you can help me out. As Ralph Eggleston Director/Production Designer of Pixar Animation Studios said,
"I LOVED the book! It's a missing, ENDLESSLY fascinating link to the history of Hollywood. Thank you for researching and writing it!! I hope it's been widely well received, as it deserves to be." Best wishes. Gaelyn
