Hey, guess what??? Ryan got his old job back at the high school in Deer River, so... we're living in Cohasset now! We bought a house here, actually, and moved in at the beginning of August. Crazy, right? I'll be looking for a job around here now - not very interested in Reading Corps again, haha. I need more money than that =P Okay, so anyway...
I liked both of those that you mentioned - Timeline and Eaters of the Dead. Eaters of the Dead is not a typical novel in that it pretends to be the publication of a long-lost manuscript of an old travel diary of an Arab who traveled for a time with the Vikings. It's basically the story of Beowulf through a foreigner's eyes. Kinda dry, because it reads like a diary, but still, really interesting!
So what are you up to these days?
I just downloaded a book to my Kindle so I will read that first since I can only have it for 14 days. But then again I most likely will have to put our book club one on reserve so give me the title. I won't be getting back to the library until next Saturday to get it anyway. I can have my ebook read by then. What's your pick?
