I am a mom of three, ages 11, 10, and nearly 5. I worked from home as a business researcher for just under 8 years, and spent far too much time on the Internet. Now I do financial aid for an online college and just don't have much time for my online fun.
I was an only child until I was 13 and spent a lot of time with my "nose shoved in a book." I learned how to read when I was three and have yet to find a hobby that I like as much. (I did try knitting at one point though. That was scary! It was not relaxing at all. It made me very, very cranky! I said words that I didn't even know that I knew!)
I read many different types of books, but prefer general fiction, literature, women's fiction, chick lit and psychological thrillers.
I used to believe that if I started a book I HAD to finish it, whether I liked it or not. I try to stick with the 50 page rule now though since there are so many great books just waiting to be read. I not only love reading, but I love having books. I have hundreds of books on my shelves, in my piles and covering many surfaces of my home, but I still use the library obsessively.
I love ice cream and chocolate. I like to pretend that I'm interested in working out to lose my "mommy belly" but rarely actually have the energy to do it. I'd much rather sit on the couch with a book when I have a free minute.
