I live in northern Illinois with my husband, two children, two cats and two dogs (Cain, one of our Sharpei/Lab mixes is pictured). I spend a lot of time throughout the year in the car listening to books on CD and at sporting events and practices. My chidren compete in Karate, run cross country, and play soccer, lacrosse and basketball. I work full time but find time to read, cook, take yoga classes, and do needlework. I dabble in artistic surface embroidery but I do mostly cross stitch (contemporary and sampler reproductions) and knit. I am fascinated by lace knitting but I also knit sweaters and socks for myself and shawls and baby items for charity. I am on Ravelry as JennyIL. « less
