I’m originally from Cleveland, Ohio and ended up in North Carolina by way of Syracuse, NY. What I wanted to do was work in theater - and, oddly enough, I am. This means I should have a day job, which could be anything from waiting tables to office management to engineers depending on who you ask what they do. I’ve become a database geek with... more »

King is redeeming herself for some of her wandering plotlines with this one. As with many, it does take a bit to get into...but once you're there it is a nice ride.

felt like some of her early works. Strong men arguing with strong women. But not a bad way to pass a day in a hotel.

boy meets girl. boy breaks girl's heart. Girl grows up to be everything she wanted to be. boy comes back to girl...but has to win her back. While she's being stalked by a psycho. A great fun read, and I'd even say ideal for the beach. I got through it in three days around other life things.

a much better intro, imo, to RAH than Stranger. Full of emotions and debating people in society...and an honest to gods plot. A good first book for an adult to sci-fi, if they haven't experienced it after they've discovered people do have sex.

Those that have read the Three Sister Island novels may recognize this plot. Three boys, born of a single line, unleash something evil on their sleepy little town for their tenth birthday. As we slowly begin to put the pieces together, three women show up in town for various reasons. Battle for the town, and their love, ensues.

This is a rather good starter novel to the genre, if you're looking to convince someone that romance novels aren't all trash. She's a bluestocking, he's the most villainous of scoundrels and can ruin a woman by looking at her. When she takes him on for her brother, sparks fly and they continue until he catches her...and she catches him. Well worth the read

The SBTN ladies recommended this one...and I guess as far as contemporary novels go, it isn't bad. Once the action gets going, it goes fast, but it takes a while to get running.
