“Everflame was a free Kindle download for me. For a free book it was "ok". I certainly wouldn't advise anyone to pay for it.
I would class this book as Young Adult/Fantasy. It centers around a Kingdom of talking Bears. Once you get past that, the storyline is so-so. It is very basic in parts...”

I would class this book as Young Adult/Fantasy. It centers around a Kingdom of talking Bears. Once you get past that, the storyline is so-so. It is very basic in parts and the dialogue at times is lacking. The story centres around the return to the Kingdom of ancient powers that were banished long long ago by an evil tyrant. Evercloud, a human, taken in and raised by the bears, along with his cousin, Riverpaw, and his uncle Whiteclaw (both bears), set out upon the quest to resurrect an Ancient to battle the tyrant.
The book follows a very crude and basic "quest" plot. Overall the book was readable, but not well written. ”

Part of a series, I would recommend reading these books in chronological/series order as previous book knowledge is definitely needed to fully engage and understand the complex plot. ”
