Hi everyone! My name is Jen, I'm 33 years old and happily married, 5 years now. I'm originally from Georgia, but moved to Pennsylvania to be with my husband after we married. We have three sweet (and maybe a little crazy) dogs, Terrier mix Cheyenne, a Jack Russell Terrier named Rascal and a Corgi/Sheltie mix named Otis. I'm an avid reader. I... more »

I think I'm definitely going to join booksfree, but I'm going to wait until I have the Mt. Everest of books down to a rolling hill. LOL

Washburn's books are fun. I also love Sneaky Pie Brown and Rita Mae Brown's books. I bought a Nook while I was in CT. I mainly read it when I'm at the laundromat or doctor's office. I have a mountain of books to read at home. I got way behind while I was in CT because I had no time for reading.

Yes, I found my keys!! Whew!

Jen, I'm very sorry to hear about your grandfather. That's how it was with my Dad - it wasn't unexpected, but it still threw us for a loop.
I don't know if I wouldn't recommend P&P&Z.....I just didn't enjoy it was much as I enjoyed Abraham Lincoln. You might have a different opinion than I do. I'm in a panic right now - I'm at work, went to go out for lunch.....and can't find my car key!! I don't know what to do, I've retraced my steps about 20 times!

    Hi:
I have published three ebooks on Amazon Kindle, Smashwords, B&N, etc., and would be delighted if you would add one or more of these books to your TBR list. If you could also write a review, that would be super.

The titles and links for the books are as follows:
The Ghost Of A Flea - Murder in the Big Apple
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003WQBD96
    https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/20838
Quarantine – A sci-fi thriller set in East Africa
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003ZSHNUO
    https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/21720
The Watcher – An occult horror thriller set in New England
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0043GX1C6
    https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/24837

Thank you for taking the time to consider my request.
    Have a great day.

Oh, no no no, I'm not letting anyone read my stories. I don't think I'm ready for that yet. I've noticed that I'm pretty okay when it comes to creating characters, but plotting... ugh. I just have no skill for creating conflict. Who knew being an optimist could hurt you? LOL
HBS is a nice book: not life-changing, not sublime, but pleasant to read. Or so I think, anyway. It helps that a) I'm easily amused, and b) I like YA books very much. So yeah, take my recommendations with a grain of salt. ;)
You were in a Yahoo Group? I'm really into Yahoo Answers, mostly over the Books & Authors section (well duh LOL) They created this writing site, very simple, inhabited mostly by teens, still in an *extremely* early stage, but it's nice to look at. Care for a link?
Ooooh, snow! I've never actually touched snow. Seen it, sure, but touch it? Never. Consider yourself lucky as you wrap yourself in endless clothing items and cuddle by the heater. =) Us Latino folks hardly see any snow at all.
You ever been to South America?

So Rascal is a handful. Reminds me of this YA book I just read, Honey Baby Sweetheart, in which there's this messy, messy dog that I think is also a Jack Russel. Have you read it?
Horror, fantasy and mystery! I wish I could write any of that. I don't have what it takes, I'm afraid. And hey, just doing what one loves to do is good in itself, isn't it?
I'm *trying* to write, too, but my genre is Young Adult. I can tell you for certain that I'm no good, but I'm obstinate. =)
What's Pennsylvania like this time of the year?

Why, hello! I'm glad that you accepted the invite. Your profile struck me as interesting and, when I took a look at your shelves, my suspicions were confirmed. =) Funny that you named your dog Rascal. I named my dog a similar thing: Mr. Wickham!
I noticed that you are an aspiring writer. May I ask what genre you write?
