West side of town town is where the Greasers live at. the hoods, known for their greasy hair, junky cars , and bad manners, and thee way they act.

They always have each other backs, even in the worst kind of situations. They do this because each other is all they have. Every one of them is like a brother to one another.

In this book i remember that it was about a boy, and he got in trouble, and accused of singing and being disrespectful, he teacher says that he was mumbling and humming the National Anthem after she told him three times to stop. There were Reporters, and Principles concerned about why he would be suspended for singing that song, and they responded as he should because he disrupted the class.

There is a little boy in this book that loved to follow his big brother everywhere he went so one night he decided to follow his brother down a dark alley he walked, he spoted his brother, and then his brother had saw him hiding behind the trash can, so he called out for him to go home, the little boy didn't listen, then a car came up through the alley tires screeching, as they drove and the Big Brother had saw a hand gun go out the window, all of a sudden the little boy pedaled as fast as he could yelling for his Older brother to get out of the way, the next thing you know he stopped and fell, and his brother held him, and the sounds of the shots, were horrifying to hear, and he felt a cold moisture, and puddle on his hand so he looked at his brother's back and there was blood, he tried waking him up but he didn't respond. The older brother was trying to figure out a way that him and his mom could live with this devastating death, so he figured if he got a gun he could handle his situation and find out who did this.

I loved this book,It was all about too many black outs in just a small town. When a little girl and her baby sister, and friend tried to find them a way out of that small town,They were told that there was no wa out that they had to stay there. In the City of Ember they didn't have much food,But they were to pick a little piece of paper out of a hat and got assigned to a job, when two friends didn't like what they had they decided to swap jobs.
