HELLO HOW ARE U DOING
I remember this book was one of Anne Rice's first few books I read. It was adventures and ever since I have been wanting to be transposed, morphed, or reincarnated as either the Mummy or Lestat.
Interesting bookshelf. I already put some titles on mine... .
How was The Eight by Neville? As soon as I finish Anansi Boys I plan to start it.
I have just joined Shelfari! I am always looking for a new friend who loves books! My name is Larry Montello, and I live in Marshall, Minnesota. I just moved back here about ten months ago from Arizona! I was born in Montclair, New Jersey. My ethnic heritage is Italian, Scot, Irish, German, Canadian, and God knows what else. I have eight children, all from my marriage to Dawn, that ended over six years ago. Only three of my children live in Minnesota at the present time, (a couple of hours away from here),, but I talk to all of them frequently on the phone and they often visit. In my life I have lived in 14 different US states and traveled in 48. I have also traveled quite a lot in Canada, and some in Mexico. No where else YET! In the past I have been, among other things, a school teacher, small business owner, manager, waiter, hospital technician, salesman, and delivery driver. Now I have an overnight job at Walmart, but who knows how long that will last! I have always been a inquisitive and curious person, which explains my university degrees. They are in geography, history, political science and English Literature. I primarily went to universities to LEARN things not just to pursue career or financial goals. Oh well! Probably does not make much sense to a lot of people. I have a wide variety of interests and hobbies. Among my interests are: history, geography, cultures, music, literature, art, science, railroads, nature and wildlife. Among my hobbies are: reading, listening to music, watching movies, taking care of my pets, collecting stamps, postcards, books, sports memorabilia, and maps. I love animals and have quite a number, including: a dog, (Jack), two cats,(Lilly and Siggy), three cockateils, a tortoises, and eight water turtles. Hopefully your new friend, Larry Please write to me at larrymontello@yahoo.com
If you liked The Piano Tuner, maybe you would enjoy the "Southeast Asia" group.
Wow! I love your shelf! I enjoy reading history and you have a lot of interesting titles that i have not seen before. I added several of the titles to my wish list. I am especially looking forward to reading some of the books on ancient Rome and archaeology. Have you ever read the Josephine B. trilogy? They are historical fiction books about Josephine Bonaparte and they are excellent.
I think you you have an excellent library. You and I have similar tastes in history and historical novels. In fact you list a few books I have never heard of, but have added to my wish list.
I am inspired. Does the Macrina cookbook really let you recreate the magic of butter and sugar right in your very own kitchen??
I have to agree that I'm also impressed with your collection of books on baseball. You've given me several ideas of books to read.
Definitely impressive collection. Gave me a few ideas of books to read.
Impressive collection overall, but I am really impressed with the baseball book collection!
