Well Umm. Strange how your entire life disappears when you need to describe yourself.

Um well I’m strange and have an eclectic taste in...everything. Not a huge fan of biographies but i did enjoy reading Michael J Fox's Book (the first one, still haven’t started his second) so anything is possible. I HATE HISTORY BOOKS!! I don’t mind a... more »

I loved it! My favourite series by Cassandra Clare (and one of my favourite series ever) is The Mortal Instruments. I did like the first two books of TID, but I didn't love the second one and the way most characters evolved (especially Will). I have to say I LOVED this book though! It was the perfect ending to the series, with lots of new characters, interesting settings and great twists! I loved, loved, loved the links to TMI ( I now have to read the series again! :D) and the epilogue! I know some people didn't like the epilogue, but I thought it was perfect! It was a unique ending and, thinking about it, possibly the only ending it could have had!

Only flaw: I felt Jem and Will were speaking in Mandarin and Welsh a little too often, while it didn't happen that much in the other books - It didn't feel that natural to me...

    Defiance

After reading lots of reviews, I was expecting this book to be amazing, but it was a disappointment. I found it predictable, boring and both characters and storyline were not developed at all! :(

    Scarlet

I absolutely loved it! It's so unusual to find a trilogy in which the second book is even better than the first one, as the second book's aim is usually to "set the scene" for the third one. I absolutely loved it! It's so unusual to find a trilogy in which the second book is even better than the first one, as the second book's aim is usually to "set the scene" for the third one. Scarlet, however, was so much better than Cinder! I found Cinder really enjoyable but some of the twists were predictable to me, while Scarlet was interesting, unpredictable and fresh. I loved the characters, and I am glad that another strong female heroine was introduced: I couldn't wait for Scarlet and Cinder to meet! I loved all the other new characters, and Iko's new "form" is brilliant! I loved the references to fairy tales (the "Wolf", the red hood, the missing grandmother) but I also really liked the way the author changed the story and developed it: for example, I loved that the idea of the Wolf changed in this book, as it is not only a predator but also a scared animal, and in this sense Wolf's character is really interesting and fascinating.

I also liked the way we still got to see what the emperor and Levana were up to, and Thorne was a brilliant addition to the story too! He reminds me of Han Solo a little, with his humour, his ship, his being the "captain", his quest for finding the princess... :)
