Although I read many genres of books, I plan to use this site to track my historical, time-travel, and paranormal romances that have witty conversation and some adventure. I especially enjoy a well written series which allows me to know the characters, times, and places. My all time favorite is Outlander from D. Gabaldon.

A fun read if you liked 50 Shades. I am a bit uncomfortable because the book reads like it's a copykat of 50 Shades, but the story is original enough to keep me interested.
I am looking forward to reading the second in the series.

in full disclosure: I am a HUGE SEP fan! I loved the book - in typical SEP style, there are several relationships happening at the same time which highlight the prime relationship trying to happen. Panda and Lucy are great together and I wish there was more character development for both of the characters.
I loved the setting of the story, the islands in Michigan. The small town feel of the place where Panda and Lucy find themselves is beautifully juxtaposed against the "normal" places one would find a Panda and Lucy character. It's a good place for them to rediscover who they are since it is so different from their prior lives.

My least favorite plot in the series because the relationship between Malkom and Carrow begins with a lie. Carrow is between a rock and hard place and chooses the lesser of evils thus lying to Malkom. He is completely overwhelmed with her. That he is able to forgive her for her lie speaks highly of his love for her.

Sabine is my kind of smart and confident. She deals with the lemons that have been thrown at her by her evil brother and still remains true to herself. Her relationship with Rydstrom is confrontational and more of a "taking" than a mutual blending. The plot is thrilling with many surprises along the way.

The relationship between Aidan/Declan and Regin is far fetched. The plot truly pushes the believability - could someone as strong and dedicated as Regin forgive Declan? I Don't think so - that part of the story needs strength. Thus far, my least favorite book in the series - perhaps because I thought the "facility" was very dark.

How does a modern, educated, and independent woman come to love a domineering, mid-evil rage demon? Cade would risk his brother's life and his family's kingdom for his Holly. His well planned plot against Groot backfires and Cade betrays her. Holly relies on her new found Valkerie powers to save herself and their relationship.

Great book where both characters are struggling with their past and find they are strengthened by each other. They begin their romance with preconceived notions of each other. Through a series of events, they learn to love each other and accept their individual uniqueness.
